Respect The Vote Project
When voters pass a law, whether it's legalizing cannabis, expanding abortion access, or safeguarding gun rights, that law should stand. But in many states, local and state agencies are still helping enforce federal bans that directly contradict what voters approved.
That means taxpayer dollars are being used to undermine state law — and override the will of the people.
The Respect the Vote Act puts a stop to that.
This citizen-led proposal makes one principle clear:
🗳️ State and local agencies enforce state law — not federal mandates that voters have already rejected.
Here’s what this Act protects:
Local law enforcement can’t join federal raids on state-legal businesses
Health agencies can’t be deputized to prosecute care that voters approved
No agency can be pressured to act against state-legal rights — unless it’s an emergency, court-ordered, or civil in nature
With clear rules, strong oversight, and no new costs, this Act ensures that enforcement stays aligned with your vote.
It doesn’t matter if the issue is gun rights, reproductive freedom, or medical psychedelics — your vote should count.
This law makes sure it does.
